well no

why? Because Ribery is a good penalty taker , while Muller would've missed that penalty

Uh ?

Maybe he wouldn't have shoot ?

And Coman is so weak at shooting in every game so I can imagine how bad he is in PK.

Coman scored a good penalty against Arsenal in pre season (but I don't know if he is good at taking penalties in general)

And yeah , Muller could've stayed the whole 90 mins without shooting a penalty , but we would've lost a good PK taker if Ribery went out

Anyway Ribery was great in the 1st half but bad in the 2nd half ... I'm still on my opinion that he should be used as super sub

Ribery when he isn't tired is still a force. He needs to be taken off after 59-60mij every match he starts or he needs to come on as a sub at that time. He just can't play a full match at a high level anymore. Coman is playing great and deserves a lot of playing time.

He was tired after 35 min. He is only super sub!

What ?

Saw him defend multiple times on Dembelé next to Rafinha at the 75th minutes.

he's not going to stop working but he's not nearly as effective in the final half hour of matches. Becomes him trying to beat two defenders and losing 95% of the time or Alaba having to carry him until he's subbed off.

So Ancelotti ditched the 4-2-3-1 in favor of the 4-3-3/4-4-2 hybrid he used at Real Madrid (except he's keeping Mueller higher up on the right versus Ronaldo higher up on the left) and we looked better. The key to this formation will be the defensive work-rate of our left winger and right midfielder. Ribery and Tolisso did a good job in those roles in this game but will Ribery be able to keep it up for an entire season? It'll be interesting to see how James fits into this given he failed in both those roles at Real Madrid. Does he take the Ribery role, the Tolisso role or does he compete with Mueller?
