Icardi is great ... I don't mind getting him as a future replacement for Lewandowski (I still prefer one of Werner, Martial and Dolberg)

EDIT: and he scored again

Anyone who follows Serie A - what's up with Milan? Didn't they just spend big and try to reinvent themselves? Are the results not indicative of their ability, or did they just fail yet again?

I think it's one of the cases where it shows you money ain't it all. Well, they had signed hot prospects initially, they themselves admitted there got a bunch of young lads that will eventually bloom by time - yet they've all been underperforming thus far, the coach doesn't stick to the tactics they had initially planned (spending big on Bonucci, MVP of the team because he gives his best in a 3-men defence and that was Montella's fav line-up till then). In the last game vs us he fielded Borini as fullback basically (he is a striker and was supposed to be a back-up striker yet he's been playing every game almost lol). I honestly think it is quite normal, they basically went for a drastic restyling of the squad, of course it'll take time to find the right tactics and get the players used to it...I think they've been surrounded by too much hype in summer and these are the consequences. Everyone in the board + the coach have been making some questionable choices to say the least as you can see. It is easy to look cool when you have significant sums of money to invest at your disposal but it is hard to get out of the sportive mess you've brought yourself into in first place. Anyways I do expect them to bounce back and get successful towards the second half of the season.

Montella is almost the second hated coach in Italy at the moment, after Ventura. IMO he's the reason for Milan's bad season. Funny how before this season I wrongly predicted Milan to do very well and Inter to fail big time, it's happening the exact opposite

Not only are they doing bad, but UEFA are also investigating the shady takeover and financing of their new owners.

It all could fall like a house of cards in the end.

Oooh finally Benevento did it! So happy for them. Only a goalie could bring them their first points!

Yes, exactly!

Fun fact: the place was initially called "Maleventum" which means "Bad Wind" in Latin - that's because it's where the "Battle of the Caudine Forks" took place - where Romans were defeated and had to surrender. However, as they eventually settled again there 40 years later, they decided to re-nominate it into "Beneventum".
