To me, games like this are the most important in the group stages. A long, dangerous trip to Russia (always something to be wary of), so close to the BuLi weekend, in a very packed schedule of a game every 3-4 days or so, in an area that's much colder than any place the team has played in this season, AND they're weak(er), so typical Bayern hubris MUST be kept in check.

Honestly, I'm far more worried about this game than I am about any other match-up in our group.

I'd like to add no injuries and suspensions to that.

This match is crucial, if Bayern win this then either Roma, City or maybe both will drop points in their match which will put Bayern in a very good position theoretically before the tough away trip to Rome in October after yet another stupid international break.

Yes, and Kalle have talked about that.

I've been involved in football for 40 years but I've never experienced anything like this. Football is all about atmosphere and emotions, but apart from a handful of officials and reporters, there'll be no-one else at the stadium. It's an incredible shame and no-one needs that. I'm really upset for our fans.

In what sense?
A few of our supporters haven't missed an away game in 25 years, but on this occasion we've had to inform them they can't get in, even though they're not to blame in the slightest. They tried everything they could including an open letter to UEFA, but unfortunately to no avail.

Apparently they made some racist acts in their game against Roma.

Also I have read that the game may will be played in a whole another stadium.

No more BS.

Let's do business.

#lewandowski

#gotze #muller #robben

#alonso #rode

#alaba #boateng #benatia #lahm

#neuer

I know that Pep would swap Lahm with Rode, but I don't give a fuck!

On the plus side, Boateng and Alaba won't be subjected to racial slurs or hit by bananas.

Fire alarm at the hotel our team were staying at. Everything is alright now and they're all safe and back inside. This picture of Robben was too funny not to share though.

There is a limit to what fans can say before it becomes disrespectful AND incendiary. Add to this the flaming and smoking image of flares and fire and many fans do not want to sit in a stadium where their security, perhaps their life is threatened.

My wife has been with me on many of the games we have experienced in Europe. Still, there have been a couple where she refused to enter a stadium because she felt insecure. The Russian stadiums are an example of this. If you google Russian Ultras you will find examples that their fans are proud of. My wife and many families fear for their lives in stadiums like this. They stay away.

I wonder how many on this board have sat in a stadium where hundreds, thousands scream approval of flares, flames and smoke while racist signs rise in disrespect? I have.

I will not be a part of another game like this.

Thankfully UEFA understands.

Pep seemed to find the whole situation pretty funny

Immediately after this incident was announced on twitter I heard rumors that this was was good old Cold War tactic to annoy/distract Bayern, gotta love all them conspiracy theories

At 11:15 CEST Bayern will hold their press conference, where I'm sure the fire alarm incident will be explained, I do hope he'll also mention that Boa is fit to to play tomorrow.
