Haha yes that's the only positive thing. We have many yellow cards and they're all on important players so we won't be able to play with maximum effect against these brazilians..

few weeks ago. It was just implied. Could be interview with kicker. Something in the lines he can se himslef coaching in Germany, or coaching Bayern. It was very subtle.

Honingstien already started talking about Pep and contract for ESPN and speculated that one major name is very interested for Bayern job and is planning to apply. I don't think that is Ancelotti. Not a major name but Tuchel expressed interest, indirectly, but might still be a bit to early for him.

Theoretically speaking, why not? Many major names got their first breaks at major clubs, like Lippi (juventus), Ancelotti (Parma-Juventus-Milan), Capello (his first job was Milan), Pep (his first job was Barcelona), Del Bosque (Real Madrid), Klopp (Dortmund), etc..

It has to begin somewhere, and Bayern is just as good a place as any other. Maybe it is his time..

Theoretically speaking of course, Pep is not going anywhere.

I think Tuchel would do just fine at Bayern. Klopp left Mainz for Tuchel and he made them even better, and look where Klopp is now. Ranked as one of the best managers, so why wouldn't Tuchel manage it.

Wait until the people's expectation a little bit lower.

Pep is a clear proof that it's hard to take charge at a treble winning team.
Single bad game, then everyone want to kill him.

The ideal scenario is if Pep create a mess at Bayern in his last season, just like van Gaal. Then Tuchel will come as the savior.

Noone's expecting Pep to do bad at Bayern, why would anyone do that? Everyone wishes and expects him to do well. Everyone knows there are no guarantees in this game and people expect him to make the team play well at least..

I disagree with this "single bad game theory" though, It's becoming one too many excuses of "what can we do, the other team parked the bus"..

We all hope the team will improve in time, hit peak form in time and play better when Thiago, Lahm and Martinez returns..

Agreed, but what will Pep do when those three return? Play them all at CB? Bench Bastian and/or Xabi? One he can't do because BM's fan base will explode...the other he won't do.

It's been obvious Pep doesn't like Javi because Martinez isn't a Tiki Taka guy. Pep's got Alonso's balls in his mouth and won't pull him.

Thiago? Thiago is an unknown quality these days...an expensive unknown that's taking money that could be spent on a left winger. Remember that Tiago was brought in so "Pep's system could work". Bayern was NOT weak in the middle before he arrived. Pep just couldn't be sure he could get the Germans on his Tiki Taka nonsense (a la Toni Kroos). He proved that he was more interested in his system than the player's strengths when he brought in Bernat to replace a perfect Alaba.

If BM crushes Shakhtar on the second leg without Alonso but Pep puts him back into the starting lineup after...I think we'll know the truth that Pep's ego is more important to him than BM's success.

And to add to my theory. This from Pep today: "Guardiola also leapt to the defence of Xabi Alonso ahead of their trip to Paderborn on Saturday, insisting the Spain international is a vital cog for the way he wants Bayern to play.

He added: "We want the ball as long as possible, that's why I want players like Xabi or Thiago [Alcantara].

"Alonso was not bought to go behind defences, but to keep the ball and control [the game].

"When it comes to running behind [opposition defenders], Xabi Alonso is the worst player in the world, but we have not got him for that."
