He manages to be worse than Pedro Proença. It's staggering.
And that's saying something

I don't know anything about the referee, friend or foe?

Massive foe, definitely. Super card-happy, prone to making terrible calls (I've truly never seen a game he's reffed where he hasn't made any egregiously wrong calls), and is so meek and useless that the game often gets away from him - to which he simply responds with more cards.

Then I guess we'll have to bury Porto, injuries AND the ref in the ground on Wednesday..

Anyone familiar wint Andy brassel. Brit pundit. I think usually does not like Bayern. Busy giving Porto advantage on several podcasts. Not sure how to reason it, except injuries, but he picked porto to advance and be a surprise even before Alaba injury. Sounds like a hater or just want to be smart guy if Bayern does go out. I think unless somebody picks up a red card Bayern must go through in two leg game.

Why can't we just have Rizzoli for every game?

He's worse. Proença retired.

#FCBayern traveled to Portugal a day early. #Sammer: "We want to prepare and regenerate as well as possible." #FCPFCB http://t.co/8kiCFabSEV

Hope he isn't like the shitty one against Donetsk.
This is the same infamous referee of Brazil vs Colombia match. It's a guarantee Boateng will miss the return leg. He'll also give as many yellow cards as possible to cripple a future opponent of his favorite real Madrid

Maybe it's a good thing if we secure a good score in this game.. He'll clear his cards and we need him in the semis.

In this instance you'd want a rugby player to invade the patch before kick-off & tackle the ref with enough force to put him out of contention for the 90 min. But I don't think Rugby players attend soccer matches unless you bribe them - because lets face it they hate the fact that a soccer player can own the entire 'super rugby league'.

Thank God we did'nt end up playing Real or Barca in the QF with all these injuries. Porto is a very dangarous team that will give us a lot of problems if we don't give 100% effort, especially defensively. As far as our starting line up, we don;t too many options but i'd like to see the following

Neuer
Boateng Dante Badstuber
Lahm Alonso Thiago Bernat
Mueller Lewandovski Goetze

Even though I expect Pep to go with Raffinha as RB in a 4-3-3 system. In that case I hope that Badstuber will play alongside Boateng instead of Dante.
