Van Bommel recovery ‘right on schedule’

Quote:
Three and a half weeks after undergoing surgery on his right foot to repair a ruptured tendon and broken big toe, Van Bommel is completing a daily programme of power and stamina training, plus stabilisation exercises. Afterwards, he is reporting for treatment to physiotherapist Stephan Weickert.

“I’m right on schedule,“ Van Bommel explained to fcbayern.de, correcting a report in a Munich daily claiming he would be spending far longer on the sidelines than originally expected. The Dutch midfielder is currently wearing a protective orthopaedic boot, but will be cleared to resume jogging as soon as the injury has fully healed.

I hate to say this but Im almost glad he is out. As for the question "is there anyone else who can lead us?" HELL YES!! I havent seen any reason why he still is captn! IMO there are a few players would could do a better job than him. Ill name a few and not necessarily in this order:
Lahm
Schweini
Butt
Ribery
Klose (when he gets back)
even Bernie our mascot... Im almost serious lol

Maybe Im a bit harsh here but thats how I feel. The guy is too much of a liability and his talent for late tackles isnt helping him or us.

Good thing, if Bommel comes back early, then Tymo can improve more and fight for his place.

Agreed Tougher the better! And sometimes you do need to make professional fouls but not stupid fouls.

I really think Mark has played very well last games....He didnt take a yellow cart neither....I dont think he is a Leader,u just need to watch the game against barselona last season,he played like he is playing with his friends and not against them, from that game i changed my mind about him about beeing a Leader

lol, what the fuck does this cool down mean ??

I hate the guy, he is a useless player imo, we don't need him in our squad ....

I don't know where should we put him, he can't play DM because he has the worst tackles ever, not on the wings for sure, in the CM possession we have guys more creative than him.

well i wouldn't go as far as saying that he is useless. first of all he has experience the guy has been to the champions league finals, plus he does bring energy to the game. now as i said i hate his ability to draw attention with his behaving (like the time he did that dick sign with his hand to the ref) but i think we could use him, not as a starter but we could use him.

i just mentioned it above. THE GUY HAS EXPERIENCE, HE PLAYED IN THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINALS, PLUS HE BRINGS ENERGY. he is one of those guys that are team players. sometimes (a lot of the time actually) he does harm to the team but that's why i'm saying he shouldn't start
