Apparently FIFA will lose out on €100mil in tv rights if Italy misses World Cup this summer.

This is a good one.
I didn't know the Germans call the 955 battle "Lechfeld". For us it's the Battle of Augsburg.

So no Italy and Netherlands for this world cup

It's sad but it's good to see some new teams in this competition

For the very first time in my life I am sad for the Italian NT.

Sweden managed to qualify for a WC without Zlatan. Doing better without him actually.

Not playing Insigne in a game like this is pure madness. Congrats to Sweden.

Bit sad for Buffon, but the end had to happen sooner or later.

It's the exact name of the place where the battle took place, Lechfeld plains.

Not only Ventura but dinosaurs higher up like Tavecchio got 2 go.

Don't get me wrong I never fancy matching up with Italy in the WC, as far as purely wanting to win, but not because of some trifling bullshit like this.

Making my girlfriend cry too, Ventura you fucking jerk!

Agreed, Italian FA have only themselves to blame. Hiring a dinosaur like Ventura (especially in order to replace Conte) was a poor decision and a disaster bound to happen.

Most teams here deploy 4-3-3. Logic consequence out of that would've been fielding a 4-3-3 with Insigne-Immobile - El Shaarawy. But nope the idiot plays 3-5-2 or his love 4-2-4 to get spanked on the counter by the opponents.

Plus Italian generation is still raw and/or overrated. Verratti never showed up - he should've been the real leader of this NT by now.

Absolutely amazing game, I watched the last 2/3rds in the gym. It was a great day, I got to see Gigi Buffon's last international game and broke my squat record (365 lbs now) all in the same 10 minute window.

Hey, he's only 39 years old, he's too young for you to count at his retirement.

If Balotelli was playing that would've never happened.
