I have a feeling than Alaba will be CB again and Bernat LB.

I have a feeling than Thiago will start and Müller will be benched.

Mark my words.

Muller will start. No clue about the back 4, it all depends on how Boateng feels. probably Alaba-Boateng-Martinez-Lahm.

It's all about the role, he and Benatia can't do Boateng's role.

Martinez will be more solid with a reliable backup like Boateng.

We have a lot of depth in the squad & if every player pulls their weight then we are favorites to go through.

We need to scare the shit out of Atleti from the get go & cast doubt/ fear in their minds.
an early equalizer would definitely put them off track & will force them to come out of their shell.

IMO we don't want them out of their shell. They are aggressive and dangerous pressers. We want them in their box letting us have possession just outside and trying cross after cross and medium-distance shot once and again and again. Eventually, Müller or Lewy would find a cross and score or one of Vidal or Alaba would put one in from distance.

IMO, the key is to press more aggressively than them and attack ALL THE TIME. Something like the Porto game at the Allianz (which is IMO the best Bayern game under Pep from a collective POV).

1. Robben's individual class to win a game despite that Spanish moron of a coach on the bench is terribly missed
2. Muller must start, uncoditionally, with no buts, preferably with Lewy
3. Thiago and especially Bernat should be benched
4. Boa must start, even in wheelchair if necessary
5. Alaba shouldn't play CB, ofcourse -> LB

After all that, I hope that players can win despite Guardiola.

So, people, hope for the best, expect the worst...

It'll be extremely difficult, but I'm sure we can do it. It's essential don't suffer a goal. If this happen... I sincerely don't want think about it.

"The reason was purely tactical. I just wanted to play with one striker,”

"My experience of playing with two centre-forwards is not good. I wanted more control, but I love playing with Thomas Muller.

"In Lisbon, Robert Lewandowski sat out but we won. Then it was not an issue.

"In the end, I have to make a decision. It's not over yet, we still have a chance. [If it goes wrong] then you can kill me!"
So who would like to do the honor?
Jokes aside I'm still fairly confident we can win this. Robben will definetly be missed but with the squad we have it's not a good enough excuse. It's going to be a very tough night but we have overcome the odds before (Juve/Porto) Athletico is getting added to that list.

I'm optimistic as well.

Good to see you here btw. I'm a reader of your blog at espn. Are you bored? Decided to come here and interact with other bayern fans a bit?
