Boateng's tough tackle there very reminiscent of the one that got him sent off against BATE Borisov in the 2012-13 CL group stage.

This type of garbage refereeing and human error is why people in the states make fun of soccer. What a downright ludicrous officiating error. As far as glaring mistakes go, that's one of the worst I've ever seen from a linesman.

Not as bad as Klose's offside goal against Fiorentina

Kind of like the obvious pass interference on Julio Jones against the Seahawks a couple of weeks ago.

I'm just saying, it's time for soccer to enter this century. We've got all this great new technology like being able to *gasp* review the footage.

My experience of Americans are they never understand the offside rule (North Americans that is)

If I'm not mistaken, the dutch league has been trying something like that out in the last few years.

Oh, the irony.

Well, our soccer refs are just as good (or just as bad, depending on your angle) as the best/worst in Europe. The problem is with this dogmatic insistence that human officiating error is somehow "part of the game." Fuck that.

Lmao Boateng must have play-doh for a forehead, that's the only way his heading can be so poor. Still his weakest quality as a defender.
